Diatonic scale

Do you remember how the diatonic scale is?

Diatonic scale has seven sounds (eight with the high "do").

There are two half steps (semitones), in between MI-FA and SI-DO:

Diatonic scale
Whole step = tone
Half step = semitone

It is very easy to see the semitones on a keyboard:

Palatino quartet - Stradivarius in Spain

A LUTHIER is the person who makes and repairs string instruments.

These days we are talking about the luthier's job in our days and also remembering the most popular luthier of all times: Antonio Stradivari

In the Royal Palace in Madrid you can visit one of the only complete surviving collections of Stradivarius in the world: "Colección Palatina" or "Colección decorada"

It consists of five instruments:  two violins, one viola and two cellos (one of them is not decorated) and they were made in 1696.

Check the following video about the luthier who is in charge of keeping the collection in a good condition.

Partitura "Wings" de Birdy

Sunlight comes creeping in
Illuminates our skin
We watch the day go by
Stories of all we did
It made me think of you
It made me think of you

Under a trillion stars
We danced on top of cars
Took pictures of the stage
So far from where we are
It made me think of you
It made me think of you

Oh lights go down
In the moment we’re lost & found
I just want to be by your side
If this wings could fly
For the rest of our lives

I’m in a foreign state
My thoughts they slip away
My words are leaving me
They caught an aeroplane
Because I thought of you
Just from the thought of you

Oh lights go down
In the moment we’re lost & found
I just want to be by your side
If these wings could fly

Oh I damn these walls
In the moment we’re then feet tall
And how you told me after it all
We’d remember tonight
For the rest of our lives

If this wings could fly

Oh lights go down
In the moment we’re lost & found
I just want to be by your side
If these wings could fly

Oh I damn these walls
In the moment we’re ten feet tall
And how you told me after it all
We’d remember tonight
For the rest of our lives
